Helpers

Every weekend I see tons of maids/nannies sitting on the covered walkways on thin blakets playing cards, reading, etc. I don't quite understand what's going on but my understanding at this point is that they're not from Hong Kong and live with their employers during the week. But they can't afford their own homes. So on the weekends - when their employers don't use their services - they just sit outside.

Do they sleep outside? I don't know about that part. I'm going to ask them next weekend.
